Donations

Who owns the Laura Johnson Home for the Aged? The community of Mount Isa does. In other words, you

The Society for the Mount Isa Memorial Garden Settlement for the Aged is a local charitable society whose membership is open to all Mount Isan's.

Why does the Home need donations? Your Society relies on donations to provide the high standards of care the aged in Mount Isa enjoy.

While the Commonwealth Government gives a subsidy towards the running of the Hostel and Nursing Home, it does not cover all of the costs of caring for our community's aged people.

Donations provide much of the equipment and many of the extra care services provided at the Laura Johnson Home.

Can I nominate the purpose I want my donation used for? Yes, certainly.

Are donations tax deductible? Yes.

As your Society is a charity, all gifts, in cash or kind, of $2 or more are tax deductible.

If you would like to support the Home, please print out this form, fill in your details and fax or post it to the Society.
