Garden Villas
In 1997, the Society was
able to secure $1.4 million in funding from the Queensland Government's
Department of Housing under that Department's Regional and Rural Communities
Housing Program to fund Stage 1 of the Garden Villas Development.
Stage 1 comprises six 2 x 2 bedroom independant living retirement duplexes.
It is planned to expand this development over time and as funds permit, to the developments full
capacity of 28 units, all aimed at providing low cost rental housing
to the frail aged.
